Tournament Announcement
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Concord University softball team has earned a spot in the Mountain East Conference Tournament May 1-4 with the announcement of the eight teams that qualified for the conference tournament by the MEC Office Sunday night.
The Mountain Lions made the conference tournament as the fourth seed out of the MEC South Division. CU's first game will be against Fairmont State 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night at the Botetourt Softball Complex in Troutville, Virginia.
The tournament will be double elimination. Regardless of result Wednesday, Concord plays Thursday at 12:00 p.m. or in an elimination game at 2:30 p.m.
This spring is CU's first MEC Tournament appearance since 2021 after it finished the regular season with a record of 27-25 overall and 13-17 in conference play.
