SENIOR DAY SPARK
CU honored seven seniors Saturday following a pair of wins over Salem. The graduating class of 2024 helped the Mountain Lion secure a sweep of Salem and a 3-1 record over the weekend. Junior infielder Kylee Stacy was 7-for-15 (.466) with an RBI triple, five stolen bases, and five runs scored in four games. Senior pitcher Nancy-Jo Roberts pitched 15.0 innings across two games, only allowing three earned runs and securing wins in both starts. Junior infielder Courtney Raines went 4-for-13 with a home run and three runs batted in on the weekend. Junior outfielder Kayla McCraw hit her second career home run in game two against Salem to propel CU to a 6-0 victory. Graduate outfielder Jolie Privett drove in a run on an infield single against Notre Dame that sparked a game-two comeback.

EXTRA-INNING HEROICS
After dropping game one to Notre Dame Sunday, CU rallied from a 6-1 deficit to cap off the weekend with a victory over the Falcons. Privett's RBI single in the fourth inning got the Mountain Lions on the board, but still trailed 3-1. NDC plated three more runs in the top of the fifth, but five Concord runs across the fifth and sixth frames knotted the game 6-6, forcing extra innings for a second consecutive game. The Falcons put two runners in scoring position in the top half of the eighth inning, but CU escaped to keep the score locked. With a runner on and one-out, redshirt freshman outfielder Sophia Conger blasted a home run down the left field to walk it off, 8-6. The home run was the first in Conger's career. She now owns a five-game hitting streak, including back-to-back multi-hit games against Notre Dame and raises her batting average to .318 this spring.

FLIPPING THE SCRIPT
In March, the Mountain Lions picked up a win over West Virginia Wesleyan for the first time since 2021. After falling in game one, CU rebounded with a 5-4 win in game two, marking the first win over the Bobcats in Athens since 2019. Stacy went 4-for-4 with two doubles, while Raines was 2-for-3 with two RBI in the game. That same weekend, Concord swept a doubleheader against Davis & Elkins. Thirteen hits clinched a convincing 15-7 game-one victory, followed by a walk-off single from sophomore pitcher/infielder Madison Hollis to earn the home sweep. It was the first home sweep versus the Senators since 2021, as CU seeks its first regular season sweep of D&E since that same 2021 campaign.

After winning six of eight conference games to start the month of April, D&E was swept by nationally-ranked Charleston Sunday.
