WHEELING, W.Va. – The Concord University men's golf team finished 21
st at the Atlantic/East Region Preview Tournament Monday and Tuesday at Oglebay Resort.
The Mountain Lions finished with scores of 327 and 326 as they amassed a team score of 653.
Sophomore
Zan Hill paced Concord with a two-day total of 156 (80, 76) as he finished four shots out of a top-20 finish in a crowded field. Hill tied for 37
th out of 130 participants. In surging to a 76 Tuesday, Hill shot a +1, 37 on the front nine as he carded six straight pars and threw in a birdie on the par-5, eighth.
Junior
Indiana Eades had scores of 77 and 83 as he tied for 60
th at 160. Among the highlights for Eades in his first round was parring eight of nine holes between the third and 11
th holes. Eades also sunk a birdie on the par-3, 15
th hole.
In his collegiate debut, freshman
Millan Ignacio Lanhozo shot rounds of 83 and 84. Junior
Peyton Watts fired scores of 86 and 84. And fellow junior
Jacob Chittaphong scored 90 in the first round.
Charleston held off Gannon by two strokes and Glenville State by four shots to win the team title with a total of 598. Glenville State's Benjamin Fernandez was eight shots clear of the field as he took home medalist honors at -5—a total of 137.
