Zack Saryeldin led the charge in a 16-9 win over Mercyhurst Saturday night in Cary, North Carolina as part of CU going 2-1 over the weekend. Saryeldin bagged six hits in the game, all singles as he crossed home plate four times. The six hits were a single-game program best for the Weston, Florida native. Additionally, the six hits pushed Saryeldin over the 200-hit mark for his career as he is the active leader for Concord in career hits, now with 202. Saryeldin also moved into 10
th at CU in career walks with two free passes of the weekend giving him 76 for his career. With the 7-for-10 showing over the weekend, his career batting average is now .385 which ranks sixth in program history.

Connor Brizendine and
Rylee Nicholas tag-teamed stellar outings on the mound in Sunday's 3-1 victory over D'Youville to close the weekend in North Carolina. Nicholas tossed seven innings of one-run ball as he struck out five. For Nicholas, it was the sixth time in his career he has worked at least five innings and given up one or zero earned runs. Brizendine came in before the eighth inning started and secured the final six outs for his first career save. In his first two appearances this spring, Brizendine had only recorded two outs. The Christiansburg, Virginia native also picked up his first three career strikeouts in the Maroon and Gray.
LOOKING FOR A BOUNCE BACK
The Mountain Lions were swept by UVa.-Wise in a four-game series last season at Anderson Field as the Cavaliers won 9-6, 13-4, 7-3 and 8-1. Before last season, CU and UVa.-Wise split four games, two at Anderson Field and two at UVa.-Wise's Stallard Field in 2022. Junior utility

Andrew Neff tallied 10 strikeouts versus UVa.-Wise last season. Two seasons ago, Saryeldin had five hits in four games versus the Cavaliers with being recorded as doubles. The Mountain Lions own a 19-13 all-time series advantage.

SCOUTING THE CAVALIERS
UVa.-Wise is fresh off two wins over nationally-ranked Lincoln Memorial. Cole Harness is tied for second in Division II with nine home runs this season and his 25 RBI are tied for eighth in the country. Though batting just .250 on the season, Justin Reed has driven in 23 RBI. Hunter Anderson is the most-used Cavalier out of the bullpen with 13.2 innings over nine appearance. He has recorded 13 strikeouts.
