CU plays its first games since playing eight games in Winter Park, Fla. as part of The Spring Games March 4-8. CU opened the trip with a win over Ashland on a walk-off, 6-5. After dropping the next two games, the Mountain Lions defeated Edinboro 12-9 using a season-high 15 hits. Freshman infielder
Kendall Morgan was 3-for-4 in the contest and drove in four runs. Senior outfielder
Imani Campbell was a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate and scored three runs. The next day, Concord knocked off Minnesota State behind a complete game from senior pitcher
Nancy-Jo Roberts, allowing one unearned run and punching out five MSU batters. CU finished 3-5 over the week and is now 10-8 on the season.

FRESHMAN FITTING IN
Adding to her 3-for-4 performance against Edinboro, Morgan stayed consistent at The Spring Games. The King George, Va. native was hitting .357 (5-for-14) through her first six career games. She played all eight games in Florida, batting .404 (11-for-27) on the week with eight runs batted in and only striking out twice. Morgan now leads qualified Mountain Lions with a .390 batting average and slugging .537. She has played in 14 of 18 games this season for CU and has started in 12.

BEATING THE BIG BLUES
Last season, Concord outscored Bluefield State 22-1 in a doubleheader sweep as it won the first game 7-1 before a run-rule 15-0 victory in the nightcap. In the first game, Concord used two home runs, including a three-run blast from sophomore infielderÂ
Morgan Cline to get past BSU. Roberts notched five strikeouts in her complete game victory. In the game two win, Concord plated 10 runs in the first inning alone as it won going away. Lewis bagged two RBI while senior catcher/outfielderÂ
Jolie Privett added an RBI double. CU also drew eight walks in just four innings at the plate.

SCOUTING THE BIG BLUES
Sophomore utility Paige Whittington leads BSU with a .511 batting average, as well as a team-leading .574 on-base percentage and 10 stolen bases. Freshman third baseman Madison Roland (.457) and senior utility Bella Coffman (.455) also sport batting averages above .400. Frist year head coach Chelsea Holliday won three games at the CIAA/SIAC Challenge before dropping two games to Mountain East Conference opponent David & Elkins.
