OFF AND RUNNING
Junior utility Kylee Stacy has already swiped 12 bases this season and has yet to be caught on a stolen base attempt. After stealing seven bases over the weekend at Carson-Newman and Winston-Salem State, Stacy is two steals away from breaking the all-time record at CU, currently held by Jessica Seymour (2012-15) with 46. The Green Cove Springs, Florida native's 12 stolen bases this year are two shy of her total from last season, and she ranks third in the MEC. As a team, Concord is 23-for-24 in stolen bases with freshman infielder Kendall Morgan adding three steals while sophomore infielder Lacie Lewis and junior infielder Courtney Raines are both 2-for-2.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS
Speaking of Morgan, she has been a sparkplug for the CU offense splitting time between third base and the outfield in her six appearances this season. Even though, the King George, Virginia native only has 14 at-bats on the season, she has collected five hits with three going for extra bases (two doubles, one triple). She is one of six players on the teams with multiple doubles on the season, but the other five players have at least 23 at-bats. Only Morgan, Stacy and sophomore outfielder Madisyn Olson have triples on the year. Morgan has hit safely in five straight games. Freshman pitcher Josi Ervin has been strong in the circle over her last three outings allowing just two runs in 6.2 innings after staring the year with 10 earned runs in 12.1 innings.

BEATING THE BIG BLUES
Last season, Concord outscored Bluefield State 22-1 in a doubleheader sweep as it won the first game 7-1 before a run-rule 15-0 victory in the nightcap. In the first game, Concord used two home runs, including a three-run blast from sophomore infielder Morgan Cline to get past BSU. Senior pitcher Nancy-Jo Roberts notched five strikeouts in her complete game victory. In the game two win, Concord plated 10 runs in the first inning alone as it won going away. Lewis bagged two RBI while senior catcher/outfielder Jolie Privett added an RBI double. CU also drew eight walks in just four innings at the plate.

BLUEFIELD STATE AT A GLANCE
Overall Record: 5-8
Home Record: 0-2
Away Record: 1-3
Neutral Record: 4-3

SCOUTING THE BIG BLUES
Bluefield State had won four of its previous six games before an 8-1 loss to Bluefield University on February 20. The lone home doubleheader for BSU came on February 8 as it dropped games to Alice Lloyd College, 9-5 and 3-0. Chelsea Holliday is in her first year as the head coach for the Big Blues. BSU is batting .364 as a team as Paige Whittington (.545), Madison Roland (.463) and Bella Coffman (.450) are all hitting over .450. But the Bluefield State team ERA is nearing seven at 6.88.
