SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Concord University baseball team has been pegged seventh in this week's National Collegiate Baseball Writers' Association Atlantic Regional Poll, the organization announced Monday.
Millersville took the top spot in the poll with all 13 first-place votes and 130 points. West Chester (102 points) was one point better than East Stroudsburg (101) for the second spot. Seton Hill (92) claimed fourth and Mercyhurst (78) edged out Charleston (77) for the final place in the top five.
Concord (57) was clear of the field for seventh. West Virginia State (25), California (Pa.) (16) and Frostburg State (13) rounded out the top 10.
Monday's games were not factored into this week's poll.
The Mountain Lions are now 3-1 after winning a three-game series over Pitt-Johnstown.
CU continues its seven-game homestand when it welcomes Ashland to Anderson Field 12:00 p.m. Friday for the start of a three-game set. Â
