Young Becomes First Signing for Men's Basketball

ATHENS, W.Va. – Concord University head men's basketball coach Todd May announced the signing of Micah Young for the class of 2025 Wednesday afternoon.

Name: Micah Young
Hometown: Westerville, Ohio
High School: Westerville North
Position: Guard
Height: 6-3

Young averaged 15.1 points per game as a junior as he started his senior campaign needing 123 points to top 1,000 for his career. He has been a four-year starter for head coach Shan Trusley at Westerville North.

By averaging more than 15 points per game last winter, Young was named to the All-OCC Capital Division's First Team, was an Ohio Division I Third Team All-District performer and landed on the Special Mention Division I All-State team.

Additionally, Young was nominated as a potential selection to the 2025 McDonald's All-American Game.

"Micah Young is a dynamic combo guard that can play both guard positions," May said. "He's a three-level scorer who can finish around the rim with both hands. He's a high-level defender that takes pride on that end of the floor, and he fits our GRIT culture."

Young is the first signing for the class of 2025 for the men's basketball program.
