WHEELING, W.Va. – The Concord University women's soccer team scored three goals in each half as it cruised to a 6-0 win over Wheeling Wednesday afternoon in a Mountain East Conference game at Bishop Schmitt Field.
Freshman forward
Ailsa Swinburne got the scoring underway in the third minute as she swept a shot along the turf that was out of the reach of the Wheeling (3-7, 2-5 MEC) goalkeeper.
After 24 minutes of being held down, CU (5-4-1, 4-2-1 MEC) got busy scoring twice in less than two minutes. Junior forward

Tucker was the first Concord scorer in the second half as Webster collected her second assist on Tucker's 57th-minute score. The Raleigh, North Carolina native capped her second hat trick in as many games with an 84
th-minute goal.

Taryn Kelly for her second goal of the season. Kelly had earlier assisted on Tucker's third goal.
Dating back to 2011, Tucker is the fourth player in program history with two or more hat tricks in a career, but is the first player with back-to-back hat tricks in that time. Tucker is now second in the MEC in both points (17) and goals (eight) after six goals in the last two games.
Freshman midfielder
Marika Svensson took seven of CU's 23 shots in the game while Tucker and Webster each had four shots.
Tucker (seven), Webster (four) and Kelly (three) all had at least three points.
Freshman goalkeeper
Gabby Griffith saved seven shots in the game, a career-high.
CU hosts Frostburg State in a pivotal MEC contest 1:00 p.m. Sunday at Callaghan Stadium.
