BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Freshman midfielder Tiana Campbell and senior defender Leah Fleming of the Concord University women's soccer team have been named the Mountain East Conference Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, presented by The Health Plan, the league office released Monday afternoon.

Campbell, a native of Plymouth, England, scored in both games for the Mountain Lions during the week as she netted a goal in CU's convincing 6-1 victory over West Virginia Wesleyan Wednesday afternoon. She returned to the pitch Sunday to record her third brace of the season in Concord's 4-3 win over West Virginia State. Both of Campbell's goals versus WVSU were in the first half and came just seven minutes apart—23rd and 30th minutes. She is now tied for eighth in the conference in goals with seven this season. Monday was the second time this season that Campbell has been the MEC Offensive Player of the Week after her nod on September 16.

Fleming, a native of Arbroath, Scotland, tallied her first career hat trick in the win over West Virginia Wesleyan. Like Campbell, Fleming's goals came in a flurry as she found the back of the net in the 31st, 39th and 44th minutes. Fleming now has five goals for the season, and in the process she surpassed her goal total of three from last year.

The duo of Campbell and Fleming accounted for 60 percent of Concord's total goals for the week, and helped the Mountain Lions extend their winning streak to four games.

CU travels to Davis & Elkins 5:00 p.m. Wednesday.
