ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University women's soccer team travels to West Liberty 1:00 p.m. Sunday to wrap up Mountain East Conference North Division action before hosting West Virginia Wesleyan 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, beginning the second round of MEC South Division play.

SCORING SPREE

Sydney Tucker tallied a goal for the fourth consecutive game as she netted CU's only goal in a 1-0 win over Point Park Wednesday afternoon. Over the last four games, Tucker has recorded eight goals and is now tied for the MEC lead in goals with 10. Tucker's scoring streak is the best of her career after she had a run of goals in four of five games last fall. No Mountain Lion has scored in five straight games since Yasmin Mosby tallied a goal in 13 consecutive games in 2021. Senior defender
Leah Fleming assisted on Tucker's goal Wednesday to bring her within four assists of the top 10 all-time at CU. Fleming tallied her 12
th career assist versus Point Park.
SEASON SWEEP
The Mountain Lions defeated West Liberty twice during the 2023 season with a win midway through October during the regular season before eliminating the Hilltoppers from the MEC Tournament in the quarterfinal round with a 2-1 victory. Tucker scored the opening goal in the 41

Anna Davis assisted on the goal. CU combined to outshoot West Liberty 35-15 in two games last year. Sunday will be just the third time since the 2018 season that Concord travels to WLU. The Mountain Lions will put a seven-game winning streak against the Hilltoppers on the line.
OFF ON THE RIGHT FOOT
CU opened up MEC play on September 15 with a resounding 4-1 win at West Virginia Wesleyan. Freshman midfielder
Tiana Campbell accounted for two of the goals as she tallied her first career brace. Junior midfielder
Jessica Neville pushed across her third career goal to open the scoring in the 16
th minute. The last time Concord hosted West Virginia Wesleyan resulted in a 7-0 Mountain Lion win. Bekeleski, Tucker and sophomore midfielder
Caitlyn Martin all had goals in the game, and Tucker scored three times in total versus WVWC last season. The Mountain Lions are unbeaten in their last eight games against West Virginia Wesleyan.

SCOUTING THE HILLTOPPERS
West Liberty snapped a four-game winless streak with a 4-2 victory at Davis & Elkins Wednesday. All three wins for the Hilltoppers have come away from home this fall. Ellie Cunningham and Mia Zecca have five goals each. Eight of the 12 games for WLU have been decided by one or two goals or ended in a tie.

Maggie Queen leads the Wesleyan offense with four goals. Ava Badallo and Tessa Grisez each have three goals. Before visiting Athens, WVWC travels to MEC North leader Frostburg State Sunday.
