SECOND-HALF ADVANTAGE
After finding themselves trailing by two points at halftime Wednesday to West Virginia Wesleyan, the Mountain Lions outscored the Bobcats 45-35 in the second half to improve to 6-6 on the season. This has been a common theme across 12 games played, as CU is outscoring opponents by 40 points in the second half (+31 in third quarter, +9 in fourth quarter). To achieve this, Concord has forced opponents into double-digit turnovers in the second half eight times this season with 53 percent (137-of-258) of CU's defensive turnovers being forced in the second half.

CLUTCH TIME
"Clutch scoring" is a statistic measured by a player's points scored in the final three minutes of games and overtime when the game is within 10 points. Eight different Mountain Lions have recorded clutch points across 12 games, headed by junior guard
Skylar Davidson with 21 points. Graduate guard
Nakaila Gray and senior guard
Jaisah Smith have also scored in double figures, both with 12 points. Additionally, CU is shooting 69.2 percent from the free throw line in the final three minutes of games, with graduate forward
Alexis Phillips knocking down 87.5 percent (7-for-8) of her free throws in crunch time. On the defensive end, the Mountain Lions have taken 12 charges as a team led by junior guard/forward
Deja Atkinson with five charges taken. Smith knocked down five free throws in the final three minutes of Wednesday's game against WVWC with Davidson and sophomore forward
Abbie Smith adding four points as well.
Â
BLOCK PARTY
Saturday's matchup will be contested between two of the MEC's top shot-blocking teams. Davis & Elkins ranks third in the conference averaging 2.7 blocks per game, while Concord sits behind them at fourth and blocking 2.6 shots per game. Phillips leads CU with 13 blocks and is fourth in the MEC in blocks per game (1.1). After recording her 61
st career block Wednesday against West Virginia Wesleyan, Phillips is now only four blocks away from securing her name in the top five in program history for blocks. Junior forward Kaylee Milburn leads qualified players in blocks for the Senators, averaging 0.6 blocks per game and picked up a career-high four blocks against Wheeling in November. Despite only playing in six games this season, sophomore guard/forward Jaela Reid has swatted five blocks, including three blocks against Division 1 opponent Morehead State on December 18.
