The Mountain Lions ride a five-game win streak into the Carter Center for the start of MEC play on Friday. The five-game win streak is CU's first since 2017. Concord has not won six games in a row since the 2013 season. Concord's 9-3 start is its best start to a season since 2009 when they started 8-4 through the first 12 games played. The Mountain Lions seek their 10
th win of the season on Friday, a feat that has not been reached since the 2019 campaign.

Freshman outside hitter
Meg Williams sits atop the MEC in kills (198) and kills per set (4.30). Williams also cracks the top 15 in Division II in kills per set. She has recorded at least 14 kills in all but three matches this season. Freshman outside hitter
Chloe Thompson finds herself in the top 10 in kills per set in the conference as well (3.13). Thompson has notched 10 or more kills in eight of 12 games this season and has recorded five double-doubles.

Concord traveled across the state line to Maryland last year to face Frostburg State in Bobcat Arena. Frostburg State won the match 3-0. The only returning Mountain Lions from last year's game are senior middle hitter
Kyndra Pilant and sophomore right side
Maddie Bohan. Pilant picked up six kills, 13 digs, one block, and two aces in the matchup. She led all Mountain Lions in digs and aces. Bohan collected one kill and one dig in the game.

SCOUTING THE BOBCATS
Senior Beverly Braun returns for 2023 and leads the Bobcats in kills. Braun has 147 kills in the early goings of the season with a .221 hitting percentage. In last year's matchup she led all players with 15 kills paired with nine digs. Senior setter Hayley Delor ranks in the top five in the MEC in assists per set (8.94) and aces per set (0.47). Delor sits at third in the MEC with 414 total assists. Junior defensive specialist Fiona Gonzales Medina had 18 digs against the Mountain Lions in 2022 and leads the Bobcats with 215 digs (4.30 per set) in 2023. True freshman middle hitter Paige Mock leads the team in blocks with 41 on the season.
