NEW ORLEANS – The Concord University men's cross country team slipped a spot to fifth in this week's United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association (USTFCCCA) Atlantic Region Poll, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon.
The Mountain Lions went from fourth to fifth in this week's poll. Charleston, Shipppensburg and Davis & Elkins maintained the top three spots while Slippery Rock leapfrogged Concord. Indiana (Pa.), Lock Haven, California (Pa.), Kutztown and East Stroudsburg rounded out the poll.
This past weekend, CU hosted the Concord/Chick-Fil-A XC Festival where it put eight athletes in the top 10 of the meet.
Concord will be off from action this weekend, but will race at the Southeast Regional Preview hosted by North Georgia September 30 in Gainesville, Georgia.
