FROSTBURG, Md. – The Concord University women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to Frostburg State in the Mountain East Conference Tournament Semifinals Wednesday night at Bobcat Stadium.
FSU (17-1-2) scored two goals in the first 15 minutes with both coming on corner kicks as it jumped out to a 2-0 lead.
The best first-half chance for Concord (12-6-2) came in the 19
th minute. After a corner kick from junior midfielder
Leah Fleming, found the foot of graduate forward
Alexa Todd her shot on target was cleared off the line at the last moment by a Frostburg State defender.
Todd took all five CU shots in the first half.
The Mountain Lions did package a threatening barrage together around the 60
th minute. Junior forward
Kylene Franklin had a shot blocked that found graduate defender
Olivia Bekeleski, but her attempt was saved. Bekeleski and Franklin teamed up for a pair of shots again in the 71
st minute, however, they were turned away once again.
Frostburg State got a goal in the 90
th minute for the final margin of victory.
The game featured 31 total shots as the Mountain Lions were outshot 18-13. Todd led the way with five shots with Franklin hitting three shots.

Savannah Bates stopped five shots.
CU will now have to wait until the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Selection Show which is 6:30 p.m. Monday to see if it makes the NCAA Tournament.
