In the Mountain Lions' win over Davis & Elkins Friday, CU recorded 12 blocks which marks the most in a game since the fall 2021 season. Senior middle hitter Kydra Pilant led the way with six total blocks giving her 56 blocks on the season. Freshman outside hitter

PREVIOUS MATCHUPS
Glenville State won both matchups against the Mountain Lions last season. In the match at the Waco Center in Glenville, Pilant recorded her second career double-double as she picked up 13 kills and 13 digs. Bohan appeared in two sets against the Pioneers last season where she tallied one kill and two digs. CU met Bluefield State in Ned Shott Gymnasium back on September 16, winning the match 3-0. In the game, Williams collected a double-double with 16 kills and 11 digs. Freshman outside hitter

As a team, the Pioneers rank fourth in the MEC in blocks per set (1.88) and fourth in service aces per set (1.75). Senior middle blocker Katarzyna Niderla ranks third in the conference in hitting percentage (.349) and second in blocks per set (1.12). Senior setter Sarah Grainer leads the team with 453 assists and 36 aces this season. Niderla (143 kills) and sophomore right side Rita Kelly (128 kills) head the Pioneers offensive attack.

SCOUTING THE BIG BLUES
When the Big Blues faced CU earlier this season, sophomore outside hitter Allyson Martin led BSU with 10 kills and 13 digs. Senior setter Kateryna Dashevska had 18 assists and three aces in the match. Sophomore Imani Stokes had three blocks, sophomore middle hitter Lindsay Neal and sophomore middle hitter BriShaela McHaney both added two blocks in the contest. As a team, Bluefield State racked up seven aces and 11 blocks against the Mountain Lions on September 16.
