WHAT'S AT STAKE
The Mountain Lions return to the Carter Center after dropping their first two MEC South Division contests against West Virginia State and Charleston. A win on Tuesday would pass CU's MEC conference record from a year ago and tie their 2020 effort that was ultimately cut short. Win number 11 for the Mountain Lions would be the highest in a season since 2017 when they finished with 14. Concord currently sits at fourth place in the MEC South division at 10-5 (1-2).
Â
DEFENSIVE SPECIALISTS
Freshman defensive specialist
Allie Davis has provided consistency on the defensive front for the Mountain Lions in 2023. Davis ranks fourth in the conference in digs per set (4.53) and has recorded double-digit digs in all but two matches this season. Additionally, Davis has only recorded five reception errors over the last five contests where she had 11 in her first ten games. West Virginia Wesleyan's Autumn Molenhouse (ninth/3.78) and Davis & Elkins' Clara Caralt (seventh/4.03) also rank in the top 10 in the MEC in digs per set.
