BACK ON TRACK
After a tough 2-1 loss at Frostburg State October 7, the Mountain Lions have rebounded with a pair of wins over Salem and West Liberty, scoring ten goals along the way. Sophomore midfielder Reeanna Cook scored her fifth goal of the season in CU's 1-0 win over West Liberty Sunday. Of the five goals for Cook, three have come off set pieces this season. She also scored off a corner kick in the midweek win over Salem. With the scoring outburst, the Mountain Lions are third in Division II in goals this season with 47. First-place Catawba has buried 50 goals this fall.

GOALS GALORE
Speaking of scoring, CU has scored 16 goals in the last three games versus West Virginia Wesleyan, including a 7-0 win in late September. Seven different players found the back of the net as junior forward Kylene Franklin recorded a four-point game with a goal and two assists. Graduate forward Alexa Todd and junior forward Sydney Tucker came up with three-point games with a goal and an assist each. Two of the six career goals for graduate defender Olivia Bekeleski have come against West Virginia Wesleyan as she scored in CU's 5-1 road win last season, and added a goal at home this season.

CLOSE CALLS
Sunday will be the eighth all-time meeting between Concord and West Virginia State. With the exception of a spring 2021 Concord win, 5-0, and a road victory two years ago, 4-1, by the Mountain Lions, the other five previous meetings have either been a draw or decided by a goal. Earlier this season, sophomore forward Caitlin Webster accounted for both Concord goals in a 2-1 victory. Graduate midfielder Michelle Brogden assisted on the first Webster goal. Brogden also tallied an assist in last year's 1-1 tie at West Virginia State. The first matchup was evenly played with CU owning a 10-8 edge in total shots.
