Men's Basketball Sets Suits And Sneakers Game for Saturday

ATHENS, W.Va. – Concord University men's basketball head coach Todd May has announced Saturday's game versus Alderson Broaddus at the Carter Center as the program's annual Suits and Sneakers game in coordination with the National Association of Basketball Coaches' (NABC) Coaches vs. Cancer Week.

May and assistant coach Trent Howard will be wearing sneakers on the sidelines as part of their game attire in Saturday's home tilt with the Battlers.

The American Cancer Society's Coaches vs. Cancer - Suits And Sneakers ® Week (January 23-39, 2023) is a nationwide event that unites coaches across the country to raise funds and awareness about the fight against cancer and promotes the American Cancer Society as a source of inspiration and hope for those facing cancer. While coaching games during the week, coaches wear sneakers with their game attire as a visible reminder of their support of the American Cancer Society.

For nearly 30 years, the Coaches vs. Cancer program, in collaboration with the National Association of Basketball Coaches, has united coaches and fans nationwide to help the American Cancer Society defeat a common enemy – cancer. For more information, visit coachesvscancer.org.

After traveling to Notre Dame Wednesday night, Saturday's contest will be the start of three home games in a four-game stretch for the Mountain Lions.
