CAREER NIGHT
In Concord's four-set win over WVU Tech last week, freshman setter
Kenzee Chaffin broke the single-match program record for assists as she dished out 46 to go with 11 digs for her second career double-double in just 10 matches. Chaffin broke a 12-year old program record for assists, previously held by Helen Thiesen. Not to be outdone, sophomore outside hitter
Gracie Brackney set a career high with 15 kills in the match as she recorded her first career double-double. Sophomore outside hitter
Hannah Steele added her own double-double (10 kills, 12 digs) as it marked the first time since October 2017 that CU had three players with a double-double in the same match.
GOING THE DISTANCE
Before CU's four-set victory last week, the previous four matchups between Concord and the Golden Bears had gone to five sets. Already this season, Concord has had five matches go either four or five sets including a five-set win over Lock Haven Friday. The Mountain Lions overcame a 2-1 deficit in the match, and a 10-8 deficit in the fifth set. It marked the first since the beginning of last season that Concord overcame a set deficit in consecutive matches. Last season, CU overcome a 2-1 margin against WVU Tech at home, and a 1-0 deficit at Emory & Henry before winning in four sets.
PILING UP THE STATS
Junior middle hitter
Kyndra Pilant notched her second career double-double versus Lock Haven as she went for 13 kills and 13 digs. Meanwhile, Chaffin came within two assists of tying her newly-established program record. Chaffin is sixth in the MEC in assists per set (7.07). Steele's 2.93 kills per set are ninth in the conference.

SCOUTING THE GOLDEN BEARS
WVU Tech has dropped four straight matches ahead of Wednesday night's contest. The only set win for the Golden Bears over that time was the first set it took from CU last week. Over the weekend, WVU Tech lost to Thomas More and Mount Vernon Nazarene. Madison Boswell led the Golden Bears with 15 kills versus CU, and is averaging 2.7 kills per set this season. Ana Muniz Rocandio is averaging 2.5 kills per set, but was held to four kills last week.
