BLUEFIELD, W.Va. – The Concord University Athletic Department and WVVA-TV, an NBC affiliate in southern West Virginia, agreed Thursday morning to broadcast two Concord University football games this upcoming fall.
WVVA-TV will air the October 1 contest against Fairmont State, which will also be Homecoming, as well as the October 29 tilt versus Wheeling at Callaghan Stadium. The games will also stream live on wvva.com/livestream.
The Concord-Fairmont State game will kick off at 1:00 p.m. while the Wheeling game will start at 12:00 p.m.
A partnership that began in 2014, WVVA-TV has broadcasted 20 Concord football games in the last eight years.
Last season, Concord defeated West Liberty, 20-16, with WVVA broadcasting the game before narrowly falling to West Virginia State, 34-32, a couple weeks later on WVVA.
