ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University softball team finishes up the regular season on a four-game road trip when it travels to West Virginia Wesleyan and Davis & Elkins in two Mountain East Conference doubleheaders.
CU plays West Virginia Wesleyan Friday at 2:00 p.m. and D&E Saturday at 12:00 p.m.

Concord is currently 17-31 overall and 10-18 against MEC teams.
West Virginia Wesleyan is 29-14-1 overall and 19-7 against conference opponents.
Davis & Elkins is 23-24 and 19-9 against MEC opponents.
RACKING UP RBI
This weekend, senior third baseman/outfielder
Sarah Thompson has the opportunity to reach the milestone of 100 RBI for her career. Thompson has recorded 98 RBI in her career and is ninth in program history for career RBI. With three RBI, Thompson can move into eighth on the career RBI list and tie Missy Anderson (1997-00) with 101 RBI. The Prince George, Virginia native has five multi-RBI games this season and is the team-leader with 26 this spring.
COPS AND ROBBERS
In the last four games, CU has stolen seven bases without getting caught stealing. In the 3-2 victory over Alderson Broaddus, Concord swiped four bags, which were the second most in a single game this year. Senior pitcher/outfielder
Laura Thompson accounted two stolen bases in the win. L. Thompson is the team leader in steals with 19 and has only been caught once this spring. Her 19 stolen bags have her ranked fourth-highest in the MEC. As a team, Concord is sixth in the MEC with 64 stolen bases.
Not only has CU been successful stealing bases, but also throwing opponents out attempting to steal. Concord has thrown out 19 runners trying to steal, which is the most in the MEC. Junior catcher/outfielder

YOUNG GUNS

Caitlyn Bauer and freshman pitcher/infielder
Rachael Koller impressed so far this season in the pitching circle. Bauer is ninth in the career program record books, tossing 128 strikeouts and is eight strikeouts from tying Melinda Bowman (2007-08) for eighth on the all-time list. Her 128 strikeouts are also third most in program history for a single season. Koller needs five strikeouts to reach the 100 strikeout milestone for her career. She is currently tied for 10
th on the program career strikeouts list with LeAnne Bowling (1997-98). Both Bauer and Koller have two 10-strikeout games under their belt this season.
WEST VIRGINIA WESLEYAN AT A GLANCE
The Bobcats have a team batting average of .307 and slugging percentage of .423. Infielder Alli Robinson is batting .381. She is the team leader in slugging percentage (.796), doubles (14), home runs (11), and RBI (47). WVWC has a team ERA of 2.11. Hannah Hudson has a 1.25 ERA with 153 strikeouts in 140.1 innings pitched. Abigail O'Shields has an ERA 2.48 with 94 strikeouts in 93 innings.

The Senators are batting .282 and slugging .418 as a team. Linzey Allard is the team leader in batting average (.372) and slugging percentage (.672). Allard also has 10 doubles, two triples, nine home runs, and 36 RBI this season. D&E has a team ERA of 5.44. Pitcher Jenna Evans has tossed 44 strikeouts in 97.1 innings pitched.
