ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University softball team hosts Alderson Broaddus and Notre Dame in two Mountain East Conference doubleheaders Saturday and Sunday afternoon at the CU Softball Field.
CU plays Alderson Broaddus Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, and Notre Dame at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Concord is 15-29 overall and 8-16 against MEC teams.
Alderson Broaddus has an overall record of 15-27 and is 4-18 against MEC opponents.

Hanes has tossed 14 strikeouts in 29.1 innings pitched as a Mountain Lion. She had a career-high four strikeouts against Bluefield State in March of the 2021 season.
Hylton has appeared in 34 games with 26 starts in her two seasons at Concord. She drove in a career-high two RBI against Bluefield State in March of 2021.
A transfer from Patrick Henry Community College, Pulliam has played in 37 games with 32 starts. In the Bearcat/Fleet Invite this season, Pulliam launched her first career home run against Carson-Newman. She has also nabbed nine runners caught stealing in her time at CU.
L. Thompson is a career .374 hitter and has pitched 269 innings across her four years at Concord. She is currently seventh in program history for career hits (179) and second for career triples (13). L. Thompson is also the career runs scored leader in program history with 146. As a pitcher, the Prince George, Virginia native has a career ERA of 3.90, which is tenth in program history. With 245 career strikeouts, she is fourth in program history. The 2019 MEC Freshman of the Year has been a two-time All-MEC First Team selection and was a consensus all-region performer last spring.
A career .327 hitter, S. Thompson is ninth in program history for career RBI (97) and tied for eighth for career hits. She is also tied for sixth in career doubles with 36. S. Thompson had a stellar 2021 season, batting .377 with 28 RBI, 25 runs scored, 13 doubles, two home runs, and was awarded All-MEC second team honors.
ASCENDING THE RECORD BOOKS
With 36 career doubles, S. Thompson is currently seventh for career doubles in program history. Her sister, L. Thompson, is tied for eighth with Kristen Rose (2014-16) for career doubles with 31. S. Thompson has 10 doubles on the season, while L. Thompson has 11.
Another Mountain Lion trying to enter her name into the program record book is freshman pitcher/infielder
Rachael Koller. Koller currently has 87 strikeouts in the circle and needs eight more to be tied for 10
th for most career strikeouts in program history. Freshman pitcher/first baseman
Caitlyn Bauer has already entered her name into the record book by tossing 107 strikeouts, which has her ninth for most career strikeouts in program history.

HISTORY AGAINST THE BATTLERS/FALCONS
Alderson Broaddus currently holds a 22-7 advantage over the Mountain Lions in the all-time series. The last time the two programs matched up was during the 2014 season where the Mountain Lions won 16-2 in five innings. Head coach
Alyssa Morris batted 4-for-4 in the game with a home run and drove in five RBI.
Concord has a 10-8 advantage in the all-time series against Notre Dame. Concord swept NDC during the 2019 season, beating the Falcons 5-2 in game one and 3-1 in game two. In the 5-2 win, L. Thompson tallied three hits, including a double. She also struck out six batters in 6.1 innings pitched. The 5-2 victory was in nine innings as former all-region selection Kylie Kent hit a walk-off three-run home run.
Notre Dame ended Concord's season last year, beating CU 5-1 in the MEC Tournament.
