MOVING UP IN THE RECORD BOOK
Senior pitcher/outfielder
Laura Thompson and senior third baseman/outfielder
Sarah Thompson both had solid weeks at the plate that helped them move up in the career program record book. L. Thompson had four hits, one triple, and scored six runs. The triple puts her with 11 which is tied for second in program history. L. Thompson's six runs puts her in sixth for most runs scored in program history. The next run that she scores will tie her for fifth with her head coach
Alyssa Morris at 120.
S. Thompson's performance at plate earned her MEC Player of the Week honors. The Prince George, Virginia native batted .583 with seven hits, two doubles, one home run, and seven RBI. The two doubles tie her with Missy Anderson (1997-00) and Crystal Kestner (1999-02) for tenth in program history with 28.
PLAYER/PITCHER OF THE WEEK
