ON A ROLL
The Mountain Lions enter Tuesday night looking for their first four-game winning streak since January 22-February 2 of last season. One common theme during last year's four-game winning streak and this year's mark is that CU has scored 80 or more points in all seven games. The Maroon and Gray rolled up 85 points, a season high in a 40-minute game this season, as it defeated Notre Dame by five Saturday. Concord was limited to 43.9 percent shooting, but used 21 free throw makes versus NDC. In extending its winning streak to three games over the weekend, CU never trailed Notre Dame as it led for 38:09 with the game only being tied once.

BOARD CLASH
Concord had its best rebounding margin of the season of +14 (47-33) against the Falcons Saturday afternoon. While CU got nine rebounds from graduate guard Lual Daniel Rahama—right at his season average—seven of the 10 players that saw the floor for the Mountain Lion secured at least three rebounds. Senior forward Jevon Laidler grabbed seven rebounds in just 20 minutes while senior guard Ethan Heller nabbed five rebounds to go along with his season-high tying five assists. The Mountain Lions have collected 40 or more rebounds in six of eight games this season, and have four games of at least 15 offensive rebounding, including 17 Saturday. CU's rebounding margin of +5.9 is third in the league and the its 14.3 offensive rebounds per game are also third.

HIGHLY EFFICIENT
Laidler dropped in a season-high 17 points despite being limited to 20 minutes  because of first half foul trouble. Not only has the Miami, Florida native made the most of his playing time, he also took advantage of his shot selection against Notre Dame. Laidler was 7-for-11 from the floor, and in his last two games he is 14-for-21 from the field. That was after Laidler was 7-of-23 in his three previous games. Over his last three games, Rahama is shooting 53.2 percent (17-of-32) from the field. Speaking of efficient offense, Fairmont State is the only team in the MEC shooting better than 50 percent (50.2) from the floor.

PLAYING THE BEST
While the newest national rankings won't be out until right before tipoff Tuesday, Fairmont State is currently 12th in Division II. Tuesday night will be the third straight time and seventh total time since 2015-16 that CU faces the Fighting Falcons when they are nationally ranked. Fairmont State came into the Carter Center with the exact same 12th-place ranking last season. The Mountain Lions nearly erased a 10-point deficit in the final 2:30 as they fell 82-80. Sophomore forward Amare Smith recorded 13 points and seven rebounds. Rahama went for 12 points off the bench while Heller added 10 points on just five shots (4-of-5) in the loss. CU made 13 three-pointers in the game. At FSU last December, Concord got down 30 points in the second half before storming back to get within 10 with six minutes left in an 85-71 victory for the 17th-ranked Fighting Falcosn. Rahama led the way with 16 points and eight boards.
