FROSTBURG, MD. – The Concord University men's basketball team ended the first half on an 18-6 run and never looked back in a 93-82 win over Frostburg State Saturday afternoon in a Mountain East Conference game at Bobcat Arena.
With the game tied at 32-32 after an FSU (3-7, 1-5 MEC) layup with 6:41 remaining in the first half, the Mountain Lions (7-3, 4-2 MEC) surged away from the Bobcats.

Kollin Tolbert buried a three-point from the left wing on the next trip. Rahama went back to work with buckets on two of the next three possessions, and junior guard
JJ Harper gave CU its first double-digit lead of the game, 46-36, with 2:32 remaining.

Da'Vion Moore accounted for the final two field goals of the opening half where Concord shot 58.8 percent (20-for-34).
Holding the 50-38 advantage at halftime, Concord never allowed Frostburg State to get the margin under 12 points until the final bucket of the game.
Two Rahama free throws at the 8:50 mark of the second half took the lead to 20 points, 76-56, for the first time as CU settled for the 11-point win.

Amare Smith both netted 11 points as the duo combined for 5-of-8 from three-point range. Wooden added 10 points. Moore nearly tallied a double-double with nine points and seven boards.

The Mountain Lions had a distinct advantage on the glass as they outrebounded FSU 44-24. CU finished the game shooting 53.8 percent (35-for-65). Concord scored 48 points in the paint.
Saturday's victory extends CU's winning streak to five games—the longest win streak in four years.
The Mountain Lions play an exhibition against Kent State December 18. The next regular season game for Concord is versus nationally-ranked West Liberty at the Carter Center 7:30 p.m. January 4.
