KENT, Ohio – The Concord University men's basketball team dropped a 106-56 exhibition game to Kent State Sunday evening at the M.A.C. Center.
While the game was an exhibition for CU, the Golden Flashes improves to 8-3 on the season.
The Mountain Lions stayed within 10 points of KSU for the first 12 minutes of the game before the Golden Flashes opened up a 32-21 lead with 7:27 remaining in the first half.

Ethan Heller buried back-to-back three-pointers to get Concord within 37-30 with 3:56 left in the opening half. However, Kent State held the Mountain Lions scoreless over the final four minutes to take a 50-30 lead into halftime.
CU got back inside of 20 points, 52-33, on its first possession of the second half as Heller connected on another three-pointer. But, the Golden Flashes answered with a three-pointer on the next trip to push the lead back over 20 points.
Wooden scored a team-best 15 points with 11 coming in the first half. Graduate guard
Lual Daniel Rahama joined Wooden in double figures with 11 points. Heller flirted with a double-double as he netted eight points to go with seven rebounds. Junior guard
JJ Harper came off the bench to notch nine points.
Concord will have another Division I exhibition at Akron 7:00 p.m. December 30.
