BECKLEY, W.Va. – The Concord University men's soccer team lost 6-2 to Frostburg State Wednesday afternoon in a Mountain East Conference battle at the YMCA Paul Cline Complex.
Frostburg State (3-5-4, 2-5-3 MEC) jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first 16 minutes of the game and led 3-0 at halftime.
The Bobcats extended the lead to 5-0 before Concord (2-7-2, 1-7-1 MEC) answered with a goal in the 58

Jonas Soderlund dribbled to the top of the 18-yard box after receiving a pass from fellow freshman midfielder
Caleb Mott and fired a shot past the FSU goalkeeper.
Junior midfielder Ricardo Chinea-Pegeler added his second goal of the season in the 81
st minute.

Jason Lavacca and Jack Rott combined for seven saves, including Lavacca saving a penalty kick in the 76
th minute.

Frostburg State had a 23-8 edge in total shot in the game. Corner kicks were even at 4-4.
Concord wraps up a five-game homestand 4:00 p.m. Sunday against West Virginia Wesleyan.
