OFFENSIVE-MINDED DEFENSEMAN
Freshman defender Josh Hodgson netted his first career goal in Saturday's loss to Wheeling. Hodgson joined fellow defender Jonathan Baldwin as Mountain Lions to score from the back line this season. Freshman defenders Garrett Boucher and Alex Harris have recorded assists from the back line in 2022. Baldwin assisted on an equalizing goal at Frostburg State earlier this season as his pass found senior midfielder Michael Shelor in the 76th minute. Concord and FSU finished in a 2-2 draw August 28. Freshman midfielder Tomas Kelly converted CU's only penalty kick attempt of the season in the 10th minute.

LIMITED CHANCES
In Saturday's contest against Wheeling, the teams combined for just 13 shots. The Maroon and Gray made the most their chances as all six shots were on goal. The first matchup between Concord and Frostburg State was the complete opposite with the game featuring 33 combined shots. CU tied its season high in shots with 18. Kelly had a career-high seven shots with two on frame. Freshman goalkeeper Keegan Grant stopped seven shots of the nine shots he faced in the contest.

SCOUTING THE BOBCATS
Frostburg State enters Wednesday's matinee having tied in its last two games. FSU tied West Virginia Wesleyan Wednesday, 1-1, before a 1-1 draw versus Shepherd in a non-conference matchup Saturday. Kevin Garcia-Torres and Sebastian Vargas scored for the Bobcats against Concord earlier this season. Both assists for Danny Caparotti, the team's leader in points with six, came versus CU. Brennan Moore and Parker Shugars have split time in the goal with Moore making 32 saves in 637 minutes. Shugars has saved 14 attempts in 353 minutes.
