NEW CASTLE, Pa. – The Concord University men's cross country team picked up its second win of the season as it was victorious at the Bill Lennox Invite hosted by Slippery Rock at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds Saturday morning.
Concord pushed four runners into the top 10 as it scored 38 points on its way to the win.
The Mountain Lions were paced by graduate student
Issac Prather who notched his fourth individual win of the fall. The Summersville, West Virginia native navigated the 8,000-meter course in 24:38 to eclipse the previous meet record by nearly 90 seconds. Fellow graduate student
Cedric Drennen broke the 26-minute barrier as he ran 25:58, good enough for fifth.
Junior
Preston Prather sported a time of 26:09 to finish sixth. Sophomore
Logan Zuchelli ran 26:10 to finish two spots behind P. Prather. Junior
Caleb Hatcher rounded out the scorers for CU as he placed 18th in 27:00.
Senior
Alex Watty came through in 27:37 to finish in the top 30 with a 29
th-place showing. Sophomore
Ethan Board was four seconds behind Watty as he placed 30
th.

Alex Irvin (29:17), sophomore
Bryce Legg (30:22), sophomore
Luke Ruhnke (34:29) and sophomore
Madoc Lathroum (36:26) rounded out the Mountain Lions in the field.
Concord's next race is the Mountain East Conference Championship November 5 at Oglebay State Park in Wheeling, West Virginia.
