LATE DRAMA
CU picked up a 2-0 win at Wheeling Wednesday afternoon as it won at WU for a third straight season. Junior midfielder Ricardo Chinea-Pegler tallied three points as he notched his fourth goal of the season while also recording his second assist on a goal scored by senior midfielder Michael Shelor. Both Concord goals came in the second half, and in two of the three wins this season the eventual game-winning goal came in the 70th minute or later, including freshman midfielder Joel Walker scoring against AB in the 71st minute in a 1-0 win on September 25.

LOCKED IN
Freshman goalkeeper Tommy Smith faced a total of 26 shots in the game at Wheeling as he saved 11 shots on target to help the Mountain Lions pick up their second shutout of the season. The Welwyn, England native saved the most shots of the season for any CU goalkeeper. Smith had seven saves in a shutout win over Alderson Broaddus in late September, which was also his first career start. The Concord back line in that particular game was led by freshmen Garrett Boucher and Alex Harris.

WINNING ON THE ROAD
The Mountain Lions haven't won on the road at Alderson Broaddus since the program was restarted in 2008. Concord lost in 2008, 2010 and 2012 before losing last year, 5-1. The lone goal in last year's game for the Maroon and Gray came from junior midfielder Robbie Stiles. Concord is seeking to not only sweep the season series from Alderson Broaddus, but it will be out to win on the road in consecutive games for the first time September 2017 when it took down Shepherd and Wheeling on September 27 and 30.
