Before the first whistle on Sunday, head coach
Luke Duffy and the program will honor five seniors with the class including defender
Tristan Bragg, forward
Tyler Bubb, forward
Daniel Culverwell, midfielder
Ben Greear and midfielder
Michael Shelor. The five have combined for 155 appearances in the Maroon and Gray with Shelor's 51 games played leading the way. Shelor has scored six times in his career with goals in back-to-back games to start the season this fall. Â Shelor also has a goal in his career versus West Liberty from his freshman season. Culverwell scored in the 2019 meeting with West Liberty.
ENDING A STREAK
After winning the first three games in the all-time series against West Liberty, the Mountain Lions have dropped the last five games including a 4-1 defeat on the final day of August on the road. Freshman midfielder
Joel Walker scored in the final five minutes of the game off of a corner kick. The game featured limited offense with 15 combined shots and six shots on goal. Freshman midfielder

SCOUTING THE HILLTOPPERS
West Liberty is coming off one of the highest-scoring games of the year in the MEC after tying Frostburg State, 4-4, Wednesday. WLU is still searching for its first road win of the season. Vitor Otsuka who assisted on one of the four goals against Concord has a team-best four assists this season. Joseph Fonagy and Danilo Tavares are the only players with multiple goals in 2022 with both scoring twice.
