Concord played its fourth five-set match of the season as it lost to Bluefield State Wednesday night in a non-conference battle. Junior middle hitter

Hannah Steele as active CU players with a 20-kill match with Steele accomplishing the feat twice. Speaking of Steele, she tallied her 11
th career double-double with 16 kills and a season-best 19 digs versus BSU. Meanwhile, freshman setter
Kenzee Chaffin came within one assist of tying her own single-match program record of 46 assists. Concord is 2-2 in five set matches this season.
SETTLE IN FOR FIVE
Concord and Frostburg State meet for the third all-time meeting Friday night with both previous matches having gone to five sets. In 2021, FSU outlasted the Mountain Lions 15-10 in the fifth set. Steele had the program's first 20-20 contest in seven seasons as she recorded 21 kills and 20 digs. Graduate defensive specialist

Kaylee Spees (17) combined for 44 digs. In CU's only visit to Frostburg State, in 2019, the Maroon and Gray escaped with a 15-13 win in the fifth. Senior middle hitter

SCOUTING THE BOBCATS
FSU has already surpassed its win total from last year after only winning nine matches in 29 tries. The Bobcats have lost back-to-back matches heading into Friday night after a four-set defeat to Davis & Elkins and a five-set loss against Glenville State. Beverly Braun is the only player in the MEC averaging more than four kills per set (4.21). Hayley Delor is averaging 6.85 assists per set which is seventh in the conference.
