BECKLEY, W.Va. – The Concord University men's soccer team dropped a 4-1 contest to Wheeling Saturday afternoon in a Mountain East Conference game at the YMCA Paul Cline Complex.
Concord (2-6-2, 1-6-1 MEC) scored first in the 15
th minute as freshman defender
Josh Hodgson found the back of the net on an assist from freshman forward
Louis Cole. Wheeling (4-6-1, 4-4-1 MEC) answered with a goal 11 minutes later.
The game remained tied into the intermission as the first 45 minutes only featured five total shots.Â
WU scored twice in the first 12 minutes of the second half to open up a 3-1 edge, and got an own goal in the 83
rd minute for the final margin.
All six shots for the Mountain Lions were on goal as freshman defender Garrett Boucher and freshman forward
Vancy Ruiz-Andaluz both had two shots on frame. CU had a 4-3 edge in corner kicks.

Keegan Grant made two saves in the contest.
