th and has a mark of 4-0 overall and is 2-0 in the MEC.
Davis & Elkins is 0-2 having lost to Mercyhurst and Charleston.
WVWC has a win, loss and a tie to its credit in 2021.
APPROACHING 100
After a two-goal, one-assist game in Wednesday's 4-1 win over West Virginia State, senior forward
Leah Foster is three points shy from 100 for her career. Already the MEC career leader in points, Foster is vying to become the third active Division II player with 100 career points, joining Kentucky Wesleyan's Madisyn Hunt and Molloy's Dana Poetzsch. When we reaching 100 career points, Foster would become the third player in program history with 100 career points. Gemma Nortcliffe (2007-10) and Leslie Ashford (1997-00) have previously reached the milestone. Also on Wednesday, Foster became the third CU player in four games with a two-goal performance in 2021. Junior forward
Rachel Bell started the season with two scores against Chowan and fifth-year senior midfielder
Yasmin Mosby did it the very next game against Lees-McRae. The most two-goal games for a single season in program history is six in 2018.
CLOSE CALLS
In each of its last two trips to D&E's Nuttall Field, CU has been on the right side of 1-0 victories over the Senators, including in the spring as Mosby tallied a first-half goal. Almost two years to do the day of Sunday's contest—September 21, 2019—the recently-graduated
Courtney Wallace lifted Concord to a 1-0 victory versus D&E. Later that season, junior defender
Zoe Belding, fifth-year senior defender
Morgan Carmichael, Foster and Mosby all scored in Concord's 6-0 victory over the Senators. Mosby has three career goals versus Davis & Elkins, including one in her collegiate debut in a 3-1 win at Davis & Elkins in 2017.
BUCKING THE TREND
The Mountain Lions are just 4-23-5 against West Virginia Wesleyan in program history. During the fall of 2019, Concord was able to halt a streak that saw the Maroon and Gray lose to WVWC in seven of the eight previous matchups, including a penalty kick loss to the Wesleyan in the 2018 MEC Championship. CU recorded a 2-0 victory over the Bobcats two seasons ago as fifth-year senior defender
Alyssa Mahar assisted on two set-piece goals by Mosby and 2019 Third Team All-American
Mira Kontio. The two MEC rivals did not match up against each other in the 2021 spring season.
DAVIS & ELKINS AT A GLANCE
The only goal for the Senators on the season was scored by Lourdes Moreno in a 2-1 loss to Mercyhurst. In the defeat at Charleston, Davis & Elkins' defense only allowed UC to attempt five total shots in the game—three on goal. Sunday's contest will be the first of back-to-back home games for D&E as it hosts Salem in non-conference action Wednesday.
WEST VIRGINIA WESLEYAN AT A GLANCE
WVWC was unable to hang onto a 2-0 lead in a season-opening draw against Slippery Rock. Since then, the Bobcats have lost to IUP, 2-0, but started MEC play with a 3-0 victory at home against Glenville State. Natalie Pireu has two of the five goals for Wesleyan this season. Paige Miller and Ally Moore have split time in goal. Moore has 12 saves this while Miller has not been pressed into stopping an opponent's shot in 2021.
