RECORDS
CU is 8-14 overall and has a mark of 6-8 against Mountain East Conference foes.

Wheeling is 7-15 this season with a record of 4-8 in the conference.

West Liberty sports a record of 11-9 overall and is 7-5 versus the MEC.

TO THE TOP OF THE RECORD BOOKS
At Glenville State Wednesday, senior utility Jenna Witt became Concord's all-time leader as she passed Alayna Furr (2014-17) for the program lead. Witt now has 236 career hits. The record-breaking hit for the Harpers Ferry, West Virginia native was a third-inning triple in game two which tied her with junior pitcher/outfielder Laura Thompson for seventh in program history with seven triples. Witt leads the MEC in slugging percentage at .768. Meanwhile, senior pitcher/outfielder Cartney Schoolcraft continued her chase towards the program's all-time leader in strikeouts. The Winfield, West Virginia native had 12 strikeouts over two games at Glenville State to push her to 244 career punch outs, 28 shy of breaking Ashley Jackson's (2003-06) record.

SEEING RED
The Mountain Lions have won three of the last four meetings against Wheeling including picking up a road sweep over the Cardinals during the 2019 season. Witt paced the offense in the doubleheader by going 5-for-8 and driving in five of the 13 runs scored by CU in 5-0 and 8-2 victories. Over two games, senior outfielder/pitcher Darby Fitzpatrick tossed nine scoreless innings over two games as she allowed just six hits. Junior third baseman/outfielder Sarah Thompson accounted for three RBI in the nightcap versus WU. In the last four games against Wheeling, Witt is batting 8-for-13 as CU split two home games with the Cardinals in 2018.

AWAITING A REMATCH
Concord and West Liberty met four times during the 2019 season as the teams split the regular-season doubleheader at WLU before the Hilltoppers won the MEC Championship over Concord, and eliminated the Mountain Lions from the 2019 NCAA Tournament. In Concord's 8-6 win at West Liberty two years ago, Witt was 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. Matter of fact, Witt blasted two home runs against WLU in 2019. In a tough 3-2 nine-inning loss versus the Hilltoppers during the regular season, Schoolcraft posted a then-career best 11 strikeouts while only allowing one earned run in a complete game.

BEST ON BEST
One of the best offenses in the MEC—Concord—opposes one of the best pitching staffs in the league—West Liberty. The Mountain Lions are fifth in average in the conference at .305, paced by Witt's .435 average and L. Thompson's .415 average. Additionally, senior catcher/utility Kaitlyn Stewart has come on strong with four multi-hit games in her last eight to raise her average to .326. West Liberty has the MEC's second-lowest staff ERA at 2.15. Annie Patterson has an ERA of 1.28 across 42 innings that includes 72 strikeouts. Meanwhile, Riley Bennington's ERA is also under two at 1.88.

WHEELING AT A GLANCE
Cassi Roman is batting a team-best .406 with a home run and 15 RBI. Autumn Oehlstrom has swatted five home runs to go with 12 RBI, including a walk-off home run against Ursuline in the Cardinals' latest win. Wheeling has a team ERA of 5.65 with Madison Macy going 3-2 in the circle in 39.2 innings.

WEST LIBERTY AT A GLANCE
While the WLU pitching staff has been strong, West Liberty's bats have also pulled its weight this season. One of the best power hitters in the MEC, Kat Donzella, has been held to one home run this season, but is hitting .415. Katie Beeman, one of the catalysts in West Liberty's 2019 championship, is hitting .364 with a team-best 12 RBI. Patterson is a two-way player for WLU as she is batting .375 to go with her pitching numbers.
