The Winfield, West Virginia native tied Ashley Jackson (2003-06) for the career strikeout mark. Earlier this season, Schoolcraft registered 12 strikeouts in 5.2 innings at Glenville State, and has 20 strikeouts in 13.2 career innings versus GSC. Offensively, junior pitcher/outfielder
Laura Thompson moved into the top 10 in program history in runs scored, now ranking 10
th with 107. Thompson leads the MEC with 36 runs scored this season. Already the program leader in hits, total bases and doubles, senior utility
Jenna Witt needs four runs to pass
Lauren Lewis for the all-time program lead in runs scored at 140. Meanwhile, senior outfielder/pitcher
Darby Fitzpatrick moved into the top 10 in games played over the weekend by making her 174

CIRCLE DOMINANCE
Over her last two starts in the circle, Thompson has tossed consecutive seven-inning complete games as she has only surrendered eight hits and an earned run to go with 13 strikeouts in wins over Fairmont State and Notre Dame. It is the third instance of the Prince George, Virginia native's career that she has thrown back-to-back starts of seven innings. Thompson is also inching closer to 200 career strikeouts with 185 after Sunday's start at NDC. Earlier this season, Thompson allowed two runs on four hits in 4.1 innings in a 5-2 win over Glenville State in which she struck out seven. She has at least five strikeouts in three career starts against the Pioneers, and one of her three career shutouts came against GSC April 27, 2019.
SEASON WIN
Concord will be seeking  a season series win over Glenville State with a sweep Wednesday. The two schools split a doubleheader April 7 at GSC. The Mountain Lions won Thompson's start before a couple late home runs lifted Glenville State to a 5-4 win in the nightcap. A career-best three RBI from senior catcher/utility
Kaitlyn Stewart was the difference in game one's 5-2 victory. Schoolcraft relieved Thompson as she tossed 2.2 scoreless innings with five strikeouts. Witt became the program's all-time hits leader in the nightcap with one of her MEC-leading five triples. Senior catcher/third baseman
Lauren Richardson had one of her six doubles in game two at GSC. Richardson is coming off a four-hit game at Notre Dame in game one Sunday—her first career game with three or more hits.
GLENVILLE STATE AT A GLANCE

Mackenzie Martinelli and Kara Smith have combined for seven home runs and 52 RBI this season as both are hitting at least .348 in 2021. Two of the four home runs for Katie Richardson this season came against CU. Celina Maberto and Peyton Werntz each have four wins in the circle.
