ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University baseball team concludes play against the Mountain East Conference North when it hosts Fairmont State 1:00 p.m. Saturday and Frostburg State 1:00 p.m. Sunday in two doubleheaders at Anderson Field.

DOUBLE TROUBLE
Freshman infielder
Michael Dupont has hit safely in six of eight games this season, including finding a hit in three straight games. During the last three games, three of the four hits for the West Palm Beach, Florida native have been doubles. Dupont is the first CU player with a double in three straight games since
Jordan Clark April 22-23, 2019 against Glenville State and Ohio Valley. Dupont is third on the team in batting average at .409 behind junior infielders
Evan Antonellis (.500) and
Anthony Stehlin (.417). Dupont leads the team in extra-base hits (five), and trails only Antonellis (.778) in slugging percentage (.682).

Stehlin recorded two stolen bases in games against Alderson Broaddus and Notre Dame to push his career total to 27, one away from tying current assistant coach

Trent Abernathy has been on the mound for 7.1 career innings against the Fighting Falcons. In 2019, Abernathy was the winner as he tossed 4.1 innings while giving up four runs and striking out six. FROSTBURG STATE AT A GLANCE
The Bobcats handed West Virginia State its first conference loss in a Monday doubleheader split with the Yellow Jackets. Frostburg State also has wins out Indiana (Pa.) and Davis & Elkins this season. Bryce Jackson is batting .302 with three home runs and 12 RBI. Ryan Roell leads FSU in batting average (.349) to go with a home run and eight RBI. Josh Colliflower has two of the four wins on the mound. Over 19 innings, Colliflower has an ERA of 2.37 to go with 21 strikeouts. FSU faces Glenville State Saturday before traveling to Concord.
FAIRMONT STATE AT A GLANCE
The Fighting Falcons have two wins over Pitt-Johnstown and two more over Davis & Elkins for its four wins in 2021. Jacob Goodnight is hitting .429 this season with 21 hits in 49 at-bats. PJ Lanham has batted in a team-best 15 runs to go with a .348 batting average. Princeton, West Virginia native Michael Rotenberry has tallied 29 strikeouts in 21.1 innings, but has an ERA of 5.06 this season. In his last start, Rotenberry notched 12 strikeouts in a complete-game effort against Charleston, but was the loser in a 3-2 defeat for FSU.
