Lander is 3-3 this season after splitting games with Erskine and Chowan.

Along with the split against Lander, Erskine has swept Mars Hill to sport a record of 3-1.

HOT START
Junior pitcher/outfielder Laura Thompson started the season by going 4-for-5 at the plate against Wingate as she also scored four runs in season's first two games. Going back to last season, Thompson is now hitting .647 (11-for-17) in her last five games. Sophomore catcher/outfielder Jolie Privett had three RBI in the doubleheader against Wingate, and accounted for one of the two CU doubles. In her last four games, Privett has notched six RBI.

LONG BALL
In the 12-9 game one loss to Wingate, junior first baseman Tiara Peters and senior utility Jenna Witt each had home runs. For Peters, it was her first home run in a Concord uniform. Meanwhile, Witt's homer against the Bulldgos was her 26th career long ball as a Mountain Lion which moved her into second place by herself in program history. Witt was previously tied with Lauren Lewis (2014-17) for career home runs at Concord. Alyssa Morris (2013-16) is the program's all-time leader in career home runs with 46.

THIRD TIME AROUND
Wednesday and Thursday will mark the third year in a row that Concord plays Erskine and Lander—the two South Carolina schools are located just 19 miles apart from each other. Three of the last four meetings between CU and Erskine have been one-run games. Last season, Concord won 3-2 before the Fleet picked up a 7-6 victory. In the Mountain Lions' win, senior outfielder/pitcher Darby Fitzpatrick earned the win in the circle with five innings of work while helping herself out with two hits at the plate. In 2019, Concord was swept by Lander—although one of the games was a one-run contest. Last season, the two teams tied 4-4 as the game had to be called in the seventh inning due to weather. Witt had a three-hit contest at the top of the CU order while senior catcher/third baseman Lauren Richardson slugged out a two-run home run.

LANDER AT A GLANCE
Delaney Guerrero has started the season by going 11-for-21 with 10 RBI. Shannon Antonini has two home runs, and has nine total hits in 15 at-bats. Barbara Cook has struck out 14 batters in 12 innings while accounting for two of the three Lander wins this season. Two of three wins for the Bearcats have also been shortened to five innings, including a 14-2 win over Erskine.

ERSKINE AT A GLANCE
The last game for the Fleet was the 14-2 defeat by Lander. The two games with Mars Hill were decided by a total of three runs as Erskine scored four runs in each contest. Kyndall Chandler is 5-for-9 early in the season with a team-best four RBI. Hannah Houge is 2-0 in the circle with 24 strikeouts in 14 innings, and is sporting an ERA of 1.00
