EXPERIENCE COUNTS
Head Coach Mike Cox welcomes back three men's runners that were All-MEC during the 2019 season in sophomore Nate Leichner, who was also MEC Freshman of the Year, and juniors Cedric Drennen and Issac Prather. While they didn't collect All-MEC honors in the fall of 2019, seniors Andrew Barbera (2018), Samuel Haynes (2017, 2018) and Samuel Thomas (2017) have been all-conference in past years.

Last season, Leichner and Prather were All-Atlantic Region with Prather advancing to the NCAA National Championship in Sacramento, California.

The lone female runner that was all-conference in 2019 was sophomore Gretchen Mills who finished 20th at the MEC Championship. Senior Kate Golinsky (2016, 2017) is a two-time All-MEC athlete previously in her career. Additionally, Mills was the MEC Freshman of the Year for the 2020 indoor track & field season.

THE FOES
Concord competes at the relatively small meet on Friday against four other Division I teams, and a familiar Division II team. Host High Point welcomes in fellow Division I schools Campbell, College of Charleston and Elon. MEC rival Charleston is also scheduled to compete in Friday's meet.
