RECORDS
CU is 5-2 this season and 2-2 in the conference.

Fairmont State is also 5-2 overall, but is one of two MEC teams left unbeaten in MEC play at 4-0.

Frostburg State sports a mark of 2-6 and is 1-3 versus league foes.

MORE THAN 40
Concord was clipped in double overtime Saturday at Notre Dame, 82-78—the second overtime game of the season for the Mountain Lions. The two extra sessions allowed sophomore guard Jaisah Smith to net a career-high 23 points and as part of her 23 points were a season-best three three-pointers. Fifth-year senior forward Riley Fitzwater nearly had a triple-double with 19 points, 14 rebounds and a season-best eight blocks. Saturday was the first double overtime game for CU since a 94-93 win over Charleston during the 2010-11 season. The double overtime game at NDC comes on the heels of the Mountain Lions playing at Fairmont State, a team they have played overtime with two of the last three meetings. Last season at FSU, sophomore guard Maddie Ratcliff's then-career high 18 points and Fitzwater's 20 weren't enough as the Fighting Falcons won 90-85. In 2019, CU prevailed 81-74 versus Fairmont State in overtime at home behind 23 points and 14 rebounds from Fitzwater and another 17 points from senior guard Maggie Guynn.

THE SEASON OF GIVING
CU collected 20 or more assists for a third-straight game as it handed out 20 assists in Saturday's setback at Notre Dame. In the previous two games—wins over Alderson-Broaddus and West Virginia State—Concord had 24 assists in each contests. Concord had gone more than decade tallying 20 or more assists in three consecutive games before the recent run. The Mountain Lions are second in the MEC with 15.9 assists per game. Versus A-B, junior guard Ashton Funderburg recorded a career-high seven assists. Senior guard Gracie Robinson passed out a season-high five assists at Notre Dame as she stands eight assists away from 200 for her career. Robinson is averaging 4.0 assists per game in five career games versus Fairmont State and dished out a career-high seven two seasons ago.

TAKE IT AWAY
A key factor in Concord's 91-52 win over Alderson-Broaddus was 11 steals and forcing 20 turnovers, a season-high in opponent giveaways for CU. The Maroon and Gray had 26 points off turnovers versus A-B. At Notre Dame, Concord came up with another nine steals with junior guard Jazz Blankenship notching a career-best four. The 20 steals in two games brings CU's season average to 7.1 per game, fifth in the conference. Meanwhile, Fairmont State's defense has come up with 9.7 steals per contest, third in the MEC. As for Frostburg State, the Mountain Lions will have to find a way to create more turnovers after the Bobcats only committed four in last year's visit to the Carter Center.

SHOOTER'S PARADISE
Two of the MEC's best three-point shooting teams meet up Wednesday. Fairmont State is shooting an MEC-best 38.2 percent from beyond the arc this season as Kamrin Weimer paces the effort, hitting 53.1 percent (21-for-39) of her three-point attempts. Meanwhile, Blankenship is hitting 36.8 percent of her attempts from behind the line (14-for-38). At her current rate, Blankenship would post her best three-point season percentage by three points after shooting 33.3 percent last year and 30.4 percent in 2019-20. In its last three trips to Fairmont State's Joe Retton Arena, Concord has shot a combined 44 percent (22-for-50) from three-point distance. As a team, FSU hits nine three-pointers per game, second in the MEC. Concord ranks sixth in the conference in three-pointers per game (6.1).

POINTS AT A PREMIUM
Despite being 2-6, Frostburg State has been stingy on the defensive end as it allows an MEC-low 64.1 points per game and sports the conference's best defense, limiting opponents to 35.7 percent. On the flip side, Concord is second in the MEC in field-goal defense (36.2) while CU's scoring defense is giving up 66.9 points per game, fourth in the conference. The Bobcats have only given up 80 points once this season, and in back-to-back wins at the end of November gave up 43 points and 53 points against Mansfield and Davis & Elkins. The scrappy FSU defense hasn't stopped Concord from scoring 82 and 76 points in the last two contests versus Frostburg State at the Carter Center. Last year in a 23-point win—76-53—Blankenship tallied 16 points in 16 minutes off the bench. Fitzwater had 17 points, 10 rebounds and six blocks. As a team, CU shot 52.7 percent from the floor.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
2- Points needed by Fitzwater to become the second active MEC player with 1,700 points along with Fairmont State's Sierra Kotchman.

20- Guynn became the 20th member of the 1,000-point club at Concord against Alderson-Broaddus.

39- Winning margin versus Alderson-Broaddus, the second largest in program history.

FAIRMONT STATE A GLANCE
Kotchman is the leading active scorer in Division II with 2,136 points. Her and Weimer account for six of Fairmont State's nine three-point makes per game. While the Fighting Falcons are the top three-point shooting team in the MEC, they are one of the best at stoppin the triple, allowing opponents to only make 25.7 percent of three-pointers. Made up of a predominately guard lineup, FSU gets outrebounded by nearly 15 boards per game. Alyssa DeAngelo, the reigning MEC Freshman of the Year, is the leading scorer for FSU at 17.9 points per game, and Katy Darnell off the bench has her hand in several things for Fairmont State with 8.7 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.

FROSTBURG STATE AT A GLANCE
The Bobcats host Glenville State Wednesday, the other undefeated team in conference play, before traveling to CU. Maggie Sharp leads FSU in scoring at 12.7 points per game, making just under 40 percent of her three-point attempts (39.3 percent/22-for-56). Morgan Dombroski collects 10.6 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. Ciara Thomas (10.4 points per game) is the third and final player in double figures for Frostburg State. Regardless of result versus Glenville State, the Bobcats will be looking for their first road win of the season Sunday.
