SALEM, Va. – The Concord University men's track & field team competed at Roanoke College's Bast-Cregger Invite Friday and Saturday to open the indoor season.
The performances were led by freshman
Ian Gardner. The Hinton, West Virginia native had two top-five finishes. Gardner came through fourth in the 300-meter dash as he ran 37.53 seconds. He also placed fifth in the 500-meter dash, running 1:10.19.
Fellow freshman
Prince Bhebhe was in the top 15 in the 300-meters and 500-meters. Bhebhe placed 11
th in the 500-meters, running 1:21.03 and finished 12
th in the 300-meters (39.05 seconds).
Freshman
Ethan Board was a fifth-place finisher in the mile run as he crossed in 4:41.56. Senior
Daniel Baldwin clocked 4:48.87 to place 14
th in the mile.
Fifth-year senior
Andrew Barbera notched a ninth-place showing in the 3,000-meter run with a showing of 9:57.71.
CU will be back in action after the Christmas Break when it travels to Marietta College January 14. Â
