KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Concord University women's soccer team has been ranked 12
th in the final United Soccer Coaches' Division II Poll of the season.
The Mountain Lions finished the season at 20-1-3 and made the NCAA Division II Tournament Quarterfinal round before bowing out to national runner-up Saint Rose.
The final four teams of Grand Valley State, Saint Rose, Dallas Baptist and Lenoir-Rhyne made up the top four followed by Seattle Pacific completing the top five. Central Missouri, Lee, Colorado Springs, Bemidji State and Western Washington were six through 10 in the final ratings. Fellow Elite 8 team Flagler was the only other team to slide in ahead of Concord.
As the Atlantic Regional Champions, the Mountain Lions were the top ranked team in the region. Kutztown was 13
th and West Chester was 16
th as other Atlantic Region representatives.
CU was one of our teams in Division II to finish with 20 or more wins with Grand Valley State, Dallas Baptist and Central Missouri making up the group along with Concord.
