WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -Â The Concord University volleyball team swept by Winston-Salem State in three sets, 25-20, 25-19, 25-14, Saturday afternoon in a non-conference match at Whitaker Gymnasium.

However, the Mountain Lions (8-16) hit .206 for the match, including better than .200 in the final two games. Defensively, CU held Winston-Salem State (8-14) to -.020 as the Rams hit in the negatives in two of the three sets.

Hannah Steele each had 11 kills with Hall not committing an error in 18 chances—a hitting percentage of. 611. Steele added eight digs.

Imani Rodgers each had 16 assists. Lough also added five service aces in the match. Senior defensive specialist
Kelli Ellison chipped 16 digs while senior middle hitter
Sheridan Herron added nine kills and four total blocks.
The Mountain Lions travel to Charleston 7:00 p.m. Tuesday for a Mountain East Conference clash.
