WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The Concord University men's soccer team (1-12, 1-10 MEC) fell to West Liberty University, 2-0 Saturday afternoon in a Mountain East Conference game at the West Family Athletic Complex.
West Liberty (6-9-0, 5-8-0 MEC) scored both of their goals in the 28
th minute of the game. Senior goalkeeper
Kyle Brown finished with 8 saves. Freshman midfielder
Franco Acri had the most shots for CU with two.
Before the two WLU goals, one of Brown's saves occurred on a penalty kick attempt in the 21
st minute. Once falling behind 2-0, Acri had a shot saved in the 33
rd minute and senior forward
Daniel Culverwell also had a shot stopped in the first half.
The Mountain Lions will travel to Wheeling Wednesday, at 4:00 pm.
