RECORDS
CU is 2-1  on the season after winning two out of three games against Wingate February 1-2.

Friday will be Mercyhurst's first game of the season.

Mansfield is also 2-1 after winning two games over Assumption last weekend.

UPJ is a perfect 8-0 this season with sweeps over West Virginia Wesleyan and Fairmont State.

A PROGRAM FIRST
By winning two of three games to start the season, Concord picked up its first two program wins over Wingate. The Mountain Lions had previously been 0-11 against the Bulldogs before winning the final two games of the series. Senior infielder Nathan Neff paced the offense as he finished the first three games of the season going 4-for-10 at the plate. Junior infielder Anthony Stehlin was voted the MEC Player of the Week for the week of February 3 after he batted .385 with two doubles and four RBI in the opening series. Senior pitcher Bryson Booher worked five innings versus Wingate as he allowed just one run on his way to being the MEC Pitcher of the Week at the beginning of February.

QUALITY STARTS
Overall, Booher has made 32 appearances on the mound for CU, but the middle game of the Wingate series was just his sixth career start. Over his last two starts, dating back to last season against Davis & Elkins, the Fort Chiswell, Virginia native has now tossed 11 innings, allowing just one run on six hits while striking out a total of eight batters. Also at Wingate, senior pitcher Trent Abernathy finished one shy strikeout shy of his career high with eight punchouts over five innings.

COMING UP CLUTCH
Even though the Mountain Lions have an overall team batting average of .245 through three games, Concord hit when it mattered the most at Wingate as it 10-for-29 (.345) with runners in scoring position (RISP). Senior outfielder Ryan Fralin and Stehlin combined to go 6-for-12 in the series with Mountain Lions in scoring position. Sophomore outfielder Josh Adkins added a 2-for-4 effort when batting with RISP.

MIXING IT UP
Saturday will be the second straight year CU plays Mansfield at the MEC-PSAC Mixer as it downed the Mountaineers 6-1 in 2019. Adkins and Neff each had RBI walks against MU while senior outfielder Adam Linkous cracked his first career home run in the eighth inning. The Mountain Lions are 4-3 all-time against Mansfield. They sport a 2-0 all-time record against Mercyhurst—the defending Atlantic Regional Champion and 2019 Division II World Series participant.

MERCYHURST AT A GLANCE
The Lakers do not return an all-region player from last year's 36-16 squad. Mercyhurst had just a team batting average of .253, but sported an ERA of 4.38. The pitching staff added 536 strikeouts in 409 innings. Pitchers Matthew Minnick and Tyler Garbee were both taken in the first 23 rounds of the MLB Draft last summer.

MANSFIELD AT A GLANCE
Brittain Shander led the Mountaineers' offense in the opening weekend of the season as he hit .500 (7-for-14) with three RBI. Ben Osborne collected a team-best four RBI in three games against Le Moyne and Assumption. Hunter DePrimo struck out eight batters in 5.2 innings as he defeated Assumption.

PITT-JOHNSTOWN AT A GLANCE
Headlining an addition to UPJ lineup is two-way player and WVU transfer Isaiah Kearns who was the regional player of the week last week. In four games against Fairmont State, Kearns hit .583 (7-for-12) with four extra-base hits and seven RBI. Kearns has also struck out 16 batters in 10 innings pitched this season. Dylan Heid matches Kearns' 2-0 record with 14 strikeouts in 9.1 innings. Own McKeever has 12 RBI this season.
