BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Concord University women's tennis team has been placed ninth in the Mountain East Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, the league announced Thursday afternoon.

2019 REVIEW
CU posted an 0-11 mark last spring. The Mountain Lions were 0-7 in MEC play in 2019.
2020 SCHEDULE
The spring seasons gets underway March 5 when the Mountain Lions host West Liberty. Consecutive road matches await March 10 and March 12 against Georgia College and Augusta. Four consecutive home dates highlight the end of the season as CU welcomes Charleston (March 23), Frostburg State (March 28), Notre Dame (March 29) and West Virginia State (April 8) in MEC matches.
THE RETURNERS
Senior
Alison King is the lone returner for Concord after playing number one singles a season ago.
THE NEWCOMERS
The Mountain Lions have six new faces to the program with five women's soccer players being dual-sport athletes and an additional volleyball player making the transition to two sports. Rachel Bell, Jordan Edmonds, Ashleigh Fairfax, Jillian Holt and Abby Wishon. Sandy Mills of the CU volleyball team will be on the 2020 women's tennis squad as well.
