ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University softball team plays its final two home doubleheaders of the season when it welcomes Urbana 2:00 p.m. Thursday before celebrating Senior Day 1:00 p.m. Monday against Notre Dame.

RECORDS
The Mountain Lions are 26-17 overall and 14-10 in the MEC after a split with Shepherd on Tuesday.
Urbana comes to Athens with a mark of 5-37 and 2-20 against league foes.
NDC sports a record of 18-24 this season and is 6-14 in the MEC.

Kylie Kent will be celebrated as they play their final home doubleheader. Beatty has played in 165 career games which is tied for ninth in program history. Beatty is also tied for third in career home runs (18), seventh in RBI (97) and eighth in total bases (230). Additionally, Beatty has also been a two-time selection to the All-MEC Tournament Team (2016, 2018). Blunt has appeared in 146 games over the last four seasons between first base and catcher. In her final season, the Oak Creek, Wisconsin native is enjoying her best year with a .292 batting average to go along with 13 RBI. Like Blunt, Kent is having a career season as a senior. The Roanoke, Virginia native is hitting .373 with 47 hits and 23 RBI—all career highs. After having her season cut to 15 games in 2018, Kent has started in 41 of the 43 games for CU this season.

Laura Thompson came up with a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh to clinch a series split with Shepherd as Concord won 2-1. The Mountain Lions improved to 6-6 in one-run games this season with the victory. In eight of the 12 instances, sophomore pitcher/outfielder
Cartney Schoolcraft has been the starting pitcher for CU. The Mountain Lions are 5-3 in one-run games started by the Winfield, West Virginia native where she has an ERA of 2.19 in 50 innings with 48 strikeouts. For the season, Schoolcraft is up to 116 strikeouts which is six away from third most in a single season at CU.
OUTFIELDER OFFENSE

Skylar Jenkins and Thompson combined to go 16-for-43 (.372) in the last four games with 10 RBI among them. Bloomingdale led the way with seven of the 16 hits while Jenkins had four RBI. Bloomingdale saw her average jump from .261 to .345.
LOOKING FOR A REPEAT
Last season, the Mountain Lions went 2-2 on their road trip to Ohio. However, two seasons ago the Maroon and Gray was 4-0 in back-to-back home doubleheaders against Notre Dame and Urbana. In 2017, CU celebrated its Senior Day with 4-1 and 9-1 win over Urbana at home. All-time Concord is 7-6 against Notre and is 7-3 versus Urbana. Jenna Witt is batting .583 (7-for-12) with six runs scored. In last season's 7-3 win over NDC, Fitzpatrick tossed a complete game as she scattered 10 hits to the Falcons' offense.
URBANA AT A GLANCE
Thursday will be the third straight day Urbana will be playing as it hosted Charleston Tuesday and is playing at UVa.-Wise Wednesday. The Blue Knights' two MEC wins have come against Fairmont State and Glenville State. Nearly half—10 of 22—of UU's conference games have been decided by three runs or less. Madison Bryant has a .327 batting average and has recorded 17 RBI. Urbana has a team ERA of 6.72.
NOTRE DAME AT A GLANCE
NDC has lost four straight games entering the weekend, but before that had won four consecutive contests. Shelby Stephens is hitting .375 with five home runs and 21 RBI. Although Halli Swiger does not have a home run this season she is hitting .336 and has 20 RBI for the Falcons. Taylor Olson has tossed four shutouts, but is only 9-12 with a 3.27 ERA in 124 innings in the circle.
