GAINING STEAM
Going back to CU's sweep of Fairmont State in a two-game series on March 30, Concord has won 11 of its last 14 games. The last time the Mountain Lions went 11-3 over a 14-game stretch was last season—February 9-March 24. Individually, senior outfielder Evan Webb has 26 of his 35 RBI for the season in the last 14 games while hitting .420 (21-for-50) with 11 extra-base hits. Reigning NCBWA Regional Player of the Week, junior outfielder Ryan Fralin, is hitting .490 (24-for-49) with 18 RBI in the last 14 games. Senior catcher Jordan Clark is hitting at a .435 (20-for-46) clip with 13 RBI in the last 14 contests.

MOVIN' ON UP
Senior pitchers Troy Beckner and Will Guay each had stellar pitching performances in their starts against West Virginia Wesleyan. Beckner tossed a complete game on Monday as he struck out five batters in seven innings. Meanwhile, Guay fanned six hitters in six innings. Beckner moved with three strikeouts of passing Trey Smith for second all-time in punch outs at CU as he has 212. Guay entered the top 10 with 117 career strikeouts. For Clark, he surpassed 200 career hits on Monday and needs 13 to break into the top 10. Additionally, Clark hit his 31st career home run, moving him to within one home run of tying Andy Cather for third all-time in program history.

AMONG THE LEADERS
Sophomore infielder Anthony Stehlin starts the weekend ranked first in on-base percentage in the MEC at .537 while ranking eighth nationally. Additionally, Stehlin is third in the conference in batting average .402. Joining Stehlin in the top 15 in batting average is junior catcher Jakob Divers (sixth / .391), Fralin (eighth / .389) and Webb (13th / .363). No other team in the MEC has more than three hitters ranked in the top 15 in average.

WELCOME BACK
Thursday will be the second trip for the Mountain Lions into Sue Morris Park after they played three games in the MEC-PSAC Mixer at the beginning of March, going 2-1. CU defeated Clarion and Mansfield at the MEC-PSAC Mixer by scores of 11-7 and 6-1. Beckner had one of his best outings of the season as he struck out 11 Mansfield hitters in six innings. The last time the Mountain Lions faced Glenville State on the road was during the 2017 season when the offense thrived, scoring 34 runs over four games in a series split. In 2017, Clark had five home runs in the series to go along with 10 RBI.

LATE HEROICS
