NUTTER FORT, W.Va. – The Concord University baseball team lost a non-conference contest to Salem, 10-3, Tuesday afternoon at Frank Loria Field.
The Mountain Lions (8-4) plated a second-inning run after senior outfielder
Evan Webb led off the frame with a double and came around to score on a Tigers' passed ball.
Salem (14-11) evened the game at 1-1 in the third as it was able to bring across an unearned run on a two-out CU error.
Still tied in the bottom of the sixth inning, SU led off the inning with a solo home run to grab a one-run advantage. The Tigers added two more runs in the sixth and scored six times in the seventh.
Concord would bring two runs across in the eighth with two outs as junior infielder
Nathan Neff scored on a Salem error and Webb scored for a second time in the contest on a single from senior catcher

Bryson Booher tossed the first five innings for CU as he allowed the unearned run on just two hits while striking out four batters. Senior pitcher
Noah Tucker (0-1) was tagged with the loss as he gave up three runs in the sixth.
Neff had the only multi-hit game for the Mountain Lions as he collected two of their six hits.
Concord welcomes Urbana to Anderson Field for a Mountain East Conference doubleheader 1:00 p.m. Saturday.
